This episode features Edgar T. Pickett Jr. who was one of Lakeland's first black police officers.

Mayor Bill Mutz's Economic Inclusion Summit was held on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at Southeastern University. This was the first of a series of meetings that are part of the Mayor's "One Lakeland" initaitive. One Lakeland aims to generate continued prosperity through inclusion.
Presenters included the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, Lakeland Economic Development Council, Lakeland CRA - Community Redevelopment Agency and Former Mayor Gow Fields.
The facilitator was Sylvia Blackmon-Roberts of the Blackmon Roberts Group, Inc. and featured Mayor Bill Mutz, Former Mayor Gow Fields, Lakeland CRA Manager Nicole Travis and Lakeland Chamber of Commerce President Cory Skeates.

Welcome to the City of Lakeland’s very first podcast: VIBEcast with host Elizabeth Hollida. VIBEcast is designed to give listeners a more in-depth look at the artists of Lakeland! In January of 2018, Liz met up with filmmaker Kevin O’Brien at Hillcrest Coffee in Dixieland (Lakeland). They played Carcaissonnes, ate delicious snacks, drank coffee, and of course, chatted about his business, JourneyBox Media, and the making of his first feature-length film, At the End of the Day. His film premieres on Friday, May 18th in Lakeland at the Polk Theatre.
